DEATH: RUTH RILEY WILLIAMS

Ruth Riley Williams, age 82, passed away September 24,1992.

She was born July 23, 1910, in Bountiful, Utah to Frederick and Emma Tolman Riley. Married Morris Cushing, later divorced. Married Wilfred H. Williams Feb. 11, 1965, in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death, September 22, 1986.In her younger years she was active in the LDS Church, serving as teacher and secretary in the MIA and Sunday School. Active in the Republican Party serving as Vice Chairman, and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, a Bountiful City employee serving as city Treasurer for 20 years.

She is survived by her children; John, Rulon, Roger, Bountiful, UT; Bob, Pheonix, Ariz.; stepchildren, Doris Barrett, Vada Van de Vanter, Kay Williams, 34 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Preceded in death by her daughter, LeAnn; stepdaughter, Dora Black; stepsons, Clyde Williams, and Robert Williams, and four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 29, 1992, at 12:00 noon, at the Bountiful Tabernacle, 51 S. Main. Friends may call Monday evening, 6-8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and at the Tabernacle from 10:45-11-45 am, prior to the service.

Interment: Provo City Cemetery.

Anita Olsen Cushing, 92, passed away, June 2, 2004.

Born December 9, 1911 in Copenhagen, Denmark, to John and Jonna Olsen.

Married L. Clark Cushing in the LDS Temple. He died, September 3, 1992.

Homemaker, raised two children: Richard and Judy. Grandchildren: Tony Cushing, Joshua Cushing and Candace Brown. Great-grandchildren: Avery, Mattie, Jakob and Miles.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Murray 25th Ward, 363 East Vine St. Friends may call at Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 S. Highland Drive, Sunday, 5:00-7:00 p.m. and at the Ward on Mon. from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Murray City Cemetery.

Madeline Mooney Cushing, age 85, died Monday, November 23, 1998 in Salt Lake City.

Born June 30 1913 in Salt Lake City to Charles Arthur and Zola Muzettie Simmons Mooney. Married Roy Despain, later divorced. Married Ray Park, he died in 1975. Married William Morris Cushing.For many years she was a sales person at the J.C. Penney Co. andwas later a Real Estate Agent. She and her husband, Ray owned Alp Hutt in Sandy, Utah. She was a cheerful, loving, generous and helpful person. A member of the LDS Church, active serving in the MIA and she loved doing genealogical research.

She is survived by her husband, Salt Lake City; Children: Arlene D. Wilson, Logan, Utah; Gary M. DeSpain, Bedford, New Hampshire. nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Step-sons; John, Rulon, Roger Cushing, all of Bountiful, Utah and Bob Cushing. Preceded in death by a son, Merrill L. DeSpain and a granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 27, 1998 at 2 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 10600 South 1700 East, where friends may call 1 to 1:45 p.m.

Interment in Larkin Sunset Gardens.

L. Clark Cushing, age 76, died September 3, 1992, of complications from diabetes at the Holy Cross Hospital.

He was born October 7, 1916 to William Orrin and Ezabella Morrison Cushing in Sugarhouse and was raised in Murray, Utah. he married Anita Olsen in Elko, Nevada on November 24, 1948. They were sealed in the LDS Temple on August 20, 1954.He served as commissioner of Murray, Utah for 16 years. He belonged to the IBEW, L.U. 354 and served as training director for the JATC until he retired in 1982.

He is survived by his wife; his four children, Carolyn Basler and Janiel Jollie of San Francisco, Calif.; Richard Cushing of Murray; and Judy Brown of Los Angeles, Calif.; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter; two brothers, Morris and Ralph; and his sister, Rouvoe.

A viewing will be held Monday, 6-8 p.m. at McKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Dr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 8, at 1:00 p.m., 25th LDS Ward, 363 E. Vine Street in Murray. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial at Murray City Cemetery.

The family suggests that well wishers contribute to the American Diabetes Assoc., in lieu of flowers.

Rouvoe Cushing, M.D., age 79, died June 5, 1993 in New York.

Born September 3, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Oren and Isabella Morrison Cushing. Graduated from U of U with a B.S. Degree and later received her medical degree. She lived in Salt Lake City and Murray, Utah before going to New York. She specialized in Pediatrics. She loved children and they loved her. Member of the LDS Church.Survived by brothers, Morris Cushing, Salt Lake City; and Ralph Cushing, Fountain Green, Utah. Preceded in death by sisters, Velva and Myrl and brother, Clark.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., June 10, 1993, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Belmont Section), 3401 So. Highland Drive. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary one hour prior to the graveside services.
