Rouvoe Cushing, M.D., age 79, died June 5, 1993 in New York.
Born September 3, 1909 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Oren and Isabella Morrison Cushing. Graduated from U of U with a B.S. Degree and later received her medical degree. She lived in Salt Lake City and Murray, Utah before going to New York. She specialized in Pediatrics. She loved children and they loved her. Member of the LDS Church.Survived by brothers, Morris Cushing, Salt Lake City; and Ralph Cushing, Fountain Green, Utah. Preceded in death by sisters, Velva and Myrl and brother, Clark.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, 2 p.m., June 10, 1993, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Belmont Section), 3401 So. Highland Drive. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary one hour prior to the graveside services.
Dr. Cushing was my pediatrician from early '60s to the late '70s. She was a gem. She made house calls in her sharp, red Mustang. Good memories. ('cept when she'd stick me with the Tyne test needles! :-) )
